Hello beautiful people,
So instead of a review, I'm calling this post my One True Love Beauty Brand. I don't have anything bad to say about Caudalie, the products are high quality and the brand has an amazing ethos. So really, I'm not reviewing so much as I'm raving!
Most of you are unaware, but I'm actually extremely passionate about the planet and our environment and hope to study Environmental Science when I'm at Uni. Which is quite relevant to this post, as one of the main reasons I am so impressed by this French beauty brand is because of their strong focus on wanting to combine 'glamour and ecology'. Sounds like a weird combination, but hearing how the company achieves this, might make you more inclined to invest in their products:
- Caudalie uses packaging made from recycled and recyclable paper and plastic. The website also states that 'nearly 90% of our point of sale materials is printed on recycled paper or from sustainably managed forests.'
- Caudalie also promises reduced CO2 emissions on their industrial site and when shipping products. (So, don't feel guilty ordering online).
- Caudalie's Laboratory and Logistics Centre have set up 12 recycling systems to reduce waste and consumption of raw materials.
- Caudalie is completely against animal testing, so you can sleep easy knowing animals aren't being abused, tortured or killed to enhance your appearance.
- The brand now donates 1% of its annual world sales to NPOs that work to protect the environment.
Furthermore, Caudalie is one of the few beauty brands that pledges their products will never contain the following harmful chemical ingredients:
- Parabens
- Phenoxyethanol
- Mineral oils
- Genetically modified organisms
- Paraffin
- Synthetic artificial colorings
- Sodium laureth sulfate
- Phthalates
- Animal-derived raw materials
These are a few of the listed efforts the company makes for a sustainable and greener future for our planet, read more: http://uk.caudalie.com/cosm-ethics.html#ixzz2wfkrsjhG
Now on to the fun stuff... Not only is this company incredible in what it aims to do, but it also provides it's customers with amazing products that I will probably never stop repurchasing. Lucky for me, I was actually gifted with my Caudalie products from a close friend for Christmas, and then again for my birthday. She bought me two mini travel sets that had a wide range of products, and Caudalie has never failed to impress me.
I'll be honest, I couldn't sit here and list their best products because I'd be here all day. Plus, the brand itself is so well developed, their ranges are phenomenal and really vast. If anything you've read has made you want to treat yourself to some Caudalie products, then visit the website and discover it for yourself http://uk.caudalie.com/. You can also find websites such as http://www.feelunique.com/brands/caudalie that sell Caudalie at great prices and discounted rates.
Please note: The pictured Caudalie products are all travel size and are available in full sizes.
Although I do love everything I've tried, two products in particular have been my winter saviours, and will continue to be seasonal favorites through spring, summer and fall. The first product that sparked my love for the brand was the Caudalie Paris Divine Oil, which is actually a hair, face and body oil. I felt more inclined to use this on my hair as it was dry and brittle over the arctic winter conditions faced by us Brits. It was my first ever hair oil and to be very honest, I was petrified at the prospect of hair oil due to the risk of greasy-looking hair. I took to YT to find some advice on how to apply hair oil. Since using it for the first time, I've never looked back. Applying one or two drops of hair oil that has been rubbed between your palms to the end of your hair is all it takes. Caudalie Divine products have an amazing scent and I even got the Divine Candle for Christmas! This hair oil has drastically improved the condition of my hair. It's thicker, softer, smoother and just feels re nourished after the harsh winter. My family and friends have even noticed the difference.
The second product I'd like to rave about today is the Caudalie Paris Hand & Nail Cream, as I mentioned earlier, the natural ingredients in all the products make for amazing smelling products and this is no exception. The Hand & Nail Cream by Caudualie is especially my favorite due to it's convenient size. It's in my everyday handbag and I can apply it whenever I feel the need. I've noticed a real change in the skin condition of my hand as I'm prone to dry skin in this area.
So, all-in-all, this brand wins for me everytime. I love everything about it and wish it was available in UK stores. I hope to see it grow in popularity and will hopefully also be doing YT reviews/raves about more of their products.
Hope this was helpful!
